ORANGE COUNTY, CA (October 15, 2012) - Just two days after stuffing your belly with Thanksgiving food, Nerd Reactor is proud to announce its first geek convention, ReactorCon, on November 24, 2012, at Frank & Son in the City of Industry, CA. The free event welcomes geeks of all walks of life who are into video games, superheroes and cosplaying. More information coming soon at http://ReactorCon.com.
ReactorCon will give attendees a chance to meet with special guests including Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman), Johnny Yong Bosch (Trigun, Bleach, Power Rangers), Sid Haig (House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects), Ed Gale (Howard the Duck, Chucky), Joe Romersa (Silent Hill Singer/Songwriter), Danielle McRae (World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Skullgirls), and more.
The live concert will feature different genres of music including rock and hip hop. Come check out Eyeshine as they rock the house, Joe Romersa as he performs music from Silent Hill, and Nerdcore rappers El Gun Legro, Chalkskin and MC Ohm-I busting out their geeky lyrics.
The one-day event will also celebrate the awesomeness that is Batman with fan film groups who are responsible for Super Power Beat Down, Batgirl Spoiled, Batman: Death Wish and Batman: Puppet Master. Attendees will also be treated with a special live performance by the Batman Maybe team (their Call Me Maybe parody has reached over a million views on YouTube).
Gamers will have a chance to show off their skills in Redemption VII, a video game tournament in collaboration with Epic Gamer Productions, featuring games like Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, Persona 4 Arena, Mortal Kombat 9, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. The prizes include pot from entry and sponsored prizes. Gamers who love to laugh should look no further. Random Encounters, the video game music parody group with over 2 million YouTube views, will be having a panel and live performances.
Cosplayers will have plenty of activities including the Cosplay Contest, where they will have a chance at winning sponsored prizes from Aniplex USA and Cosplay in America. Cosplay judges include Crystal Graziano, Matthew Lewis, and Alexander Brooks. Star Wars cosplay groups will also be in attendance like the Mandalorian Mercs and Saber Guild.
